IN MEMORY OF COLTON WILLIAMS 8-26-2010 TO 11-28-2019
The Colton Williams 5 Gallon Fall Challenge is a memorial tournament that celebrates the life of Colton Williams; a young South Carolina boy who lost his life at the early age of 9 years old in a very unfortunate hunting accident. Colton’s family agrees that this 5 gallon tournament named after him is an excellent way to remember his love of fishing and the outdoors as well as give to other young people that share Colton’s passion. The Colton Williams 5 Gallon Fall Challenge was created to support South Carolina youth that may not experience something like Camp Woodie in his/her childhood life as a result of family financial constraints living situations or other hindering factors. By donating 100% of the sponsorship contributions as well as the money raised during tournament day, Camp Woodie becomes a reality for kids living in situations described above. Camp Woodie is a full week summer camp put on by the South Carolina Waterfowl Association and is nationally known for its positive impact on young people’s lives as they learn about and enjoy God’s wonderful outdoor creation with other young people right here in South Carolina. Any and all donations (large or small) as well as the tournament proceeds are directed 100% at this very worthwhile cause. Local churches as well as selected departments within the SC school system work with us to identify these specific kids to ensure that this is nothing short of a miracle in several young peoples’ lives that need it. Please join us October 7th and help support this effort!” It’s a great time!
